GEORGE TOWN: A doctor was fined RM30,000 by the High Court here after he was found guilty of employing a medical assistant to perform the duty of a medical practitioner at his clinic four years ago. Judicial Commissioner Datuk Ahmad Shahrir Mohd Salleh, in meting out the fine, set aside the Butterworth Sessions Court's decision, made on March 6 this year, in acquitting and discharging Dr Abdul Malik Md Yusoff, 63, of the charge.
