The top local stories this morning from KERA News:
Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has again been outpaced by his Democratic challenger when it comes to fundraising.
Cruz on Thursday said he raised nearly $4.6 million from April through June, and has about $10.4 million on hand. El Paso Congressman Beto O’Rourke on Wednesday said he raised more than $10 million over the same three-month period, and has about $14 million overall.
O’Rourke has repeatedly outraised Cruz since announcing his Senate bid in March of last year.
