Stacey Adams has joined ABC as VP Current Programming. Moving over from the same post at CBS, the exec will oversee scripted drama and comedy programming. She’ll report to .

“Stacey is a highly respected, experienced creative executive who is passionate about television,” said Vicki Dummer, head of Current Series Programming at ABC Entertainment, to whom she’ll report. “She has strong relationships and great creative instincts, and I am very excited to have her join the team.”

Adams comes to ABC Entertainment from CBS, where she was VP Current Programming and covered comedy and drama series including CSI and The Big Bang Theory. Before that she was VP Drama Development at Paramount/CBS Studios, working with the team that developed shows such as Criminal Minds, Medium and Ghost Whisperer.

An alum of USC School of Cinema and Television, Adams began her career producing theater in Los Angeles and New York and went on to be a director’s assistant to Ken Olin.
